one of my favorite fruit in the Summer is water melon

so ... when I have some extra time, I make some water-melon jello.
I take the seeds out, blend the water-melon, add some lemon juice, and mix it with some gelatine which I buy at the supermarket ...

sometimes, not always, we like to drink some wine with our meals ...

What kind of beans do I cook ???

Pane cunzato - in Sicilian ----- Pane condito - in Italian

During the Summer ... when it's very hot and the temperature gets to almost 40° ... we don't usually feel like eating very much. Especially in the evenings ...

So ... we either go out and eat something light or we may prepare at home some pane condito ...

To make a pane condito I get this kind of bread and fill it up with:
some fresh tomatoes ...
fresh red onions ...
black olives ...

some ham ...
some cheese ...
and a bit of olive oil ...
